It insinuates that we have some kind of control over things. I mean, I suppose to some extent we do have some control over life, even creating it. We can use a variety of birth control methods. We can abstain. We can simply do nothing at all and wait for "the right time.". But then, when you decide you're ready, life makes you wait.
