Thursday, April 24, 2014. This year was a very quiet Easter. Every year for the last 5 or so years Grandma and/or Grandpa Aikele have been with us AND we had not just moved either. So this year our ward did an Easter breakfast ending with an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Natalie and Corbin now digging into the candy. Monday, October 11, 2010. Weekend Getaway to Washington. All in all a great weekend. I wish we lived closer. We really had a lot of fun visiting with both sides of the family. We have discovered one thing though.we need to plan more time for our getaway's when there is more than one side of the family we want to see. We really did have a lot of fun. Saturday, January 8, 2011. Natalie's favorite book is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see? She has this book memorized then decided it needed to take a bath and then took a very long trip to see the garbage man. Well, for Christmas Santa (Johnson Grandparents in this case) brought Brown Bear back to us. So she has now almost got it memorized again. Here is a video of her reading this book. We decided that since we were so new to the whole family bike trip that we would stay close to the car.While on the trail we ran into a newer park built near downtown Coeur d'Alene.the kids had a lot of fun at the park. Monday, August 25, 2008. The Grass is Greener. Our ward had a combined ward carnival/corn social this last weekend. It was so fun! Not only was the food delicious but the company was too. Friday, May 8, 2009. Look what we did! The leaders of our young woman got together this past Saturday and made these super cute blocks for our YW! We got the idea from another blog! Sorry the pics are so great but the front says "Be thou an Example" and the back it has the rest of scripture that we use for this year and then the challenge that the general YW presidency gave to all of the YW and leaders around the world. Thursday, December 4, 2008. SO to avoid that senerio again we hustled up to the place where we ususally get our trees and cut one down there. It was pretty dark by then but we got it home. And it looks great! I love love real trees. It was super fun. Saturday, June 6, 2009. Main reason for not living in AZ! We went down to phoenix with my mom in May, to play and relax. We drove all the way down which was hmmm . . . . interesting but we did have alot of fun! We mostly just hang around the pool, shopped, went to the park, had lots of bike rides, and got in the pool some more. I really really love Phoenix! Yep you guessed it. Scorpions! Glad you are ok. Thursday, March 19, 2009. Give her a HAND. The second week of March my mom had surgery. For anyone that knows my mom knows that this is a big deal. She is terrified of Doctors. Granted she has had some bad experiences but I cannot remember her to ever go to the doctor growing up, let alone now. SO I am super super proud of her for finally doing something for herself. She has had carpal tunnel syndrome for a super long time and has need to do something for awhile. So she finally did it! 8221; down the date.
