공군기상단에서 웹개발 및 프로세스 개발. 그런데, Info 로깅을 하는 모든 곳에서. 자바캔(Java Can Do IT). 주변의 컴퓨터 관련 학과들의 학우들에게 "목표는 무엇이냐? 라고 물어보면 대부분은 그냥 "취업"이라 대답합니다. 어디에 취업하고 싶다"도 아니 막연한 취업입니다. 취업난이 문제가 되니 공대에도 마찬가지로 취업이 힘든 줄 알고 무조건 취업하는 것이 목표가 된 분들이 많습니다. 하지만 IT직군에서의 취업은 매우 쉽습니다. 문과인 A는 100명의 지원자 중 1을 뽑는 경쟁률을 뚫고 연봉 3000에 취업했습니다. 하지만 공대인 B는 10명의 지원자 중 100명을 뽑는 경쟁률로 쉽게 연봉 2200에 취업했습니다. 문과와 비슷하거나 혹은 더 높은 대우를 받으려면 공과는 문과 이상의 노력을 해야 합니다. 취업을 위한 노력이 문과보다 적을 뿐. 취업 후의 대우가 평균보다 높아지려면 그 이상의 노력을 필요로 하는 것입니다. 또한 개발자는 첫 직장이 평생의 커리어를 좌우할만큼 강력합니다.
