May 1, 2015. 記得前幾年獲普利兹克獎的王澍嗎 王澍自此聲名大噪, 成為了大概是國際上最著名的中國建築師,三年之後人們還在談論王澍, 但究竟王澍的建築有什麼了不起呢. 對上一個拿普利兹克獎的華人是貝聿銘, 貝聿銘雖然在廣州出生, 但其實是個美國人, 而王澍在新彊出生, 畢業予南京的東南大學, 全部作品都在中國, 是名乎其實的中國得獎人。 王澍的建築風格簡潔樸實, 祟尚自然, 而且喜歡使用傳統的工匠建築方法。 但到底王澍有什麼能耐, 能令他拿到這 諾貝爾建築獎 呢 那就要從中國近二十多年的發展說起了。 中國的瘋狂高速發展, 新頴建築林立, 鳥巢、水立方、銀河 SOHO, 提提你這些都是外國建築師的設計, 就算是中國建築師的設計, 絕大部份也是西方建築。 因此中國建築師都面對一個問題，現代化的建築是不是等如完全西化呢 中國能不能對現代建築有點貢獻呢 譬如現代人是不會再穿古裝, 但西裝是不是時裝唯一選擇呢 可不可以有中式的時裝呢. January 1, 2015. 上次說到香港主義建築是這三十多年政府與地產商共同發明出來的奇特建築，其主要特色是 炒盡 和 發水。 環保露台不是特別環保的露台, 是政府為了提倡環保, 鼓勵多建露台, 立例豁免計入建築面積。 露台能擋去陽光, 因此可減少使用冷氣, 的確是有利節能。 每一個單位只可以有一個環保露台, 為了賺取這二至五平方米, 地產商又有炒盡的妙計, 就是推出蚊形單位。 單位面積小一些, 單位數目自然可以多一些, 豁免的環保露台就更多。 露台很容易會變成雜物房或晾衫架, 有礙觀瞻，政府在零二年再推出另一項豁免-工作平台, 其實只是小一點的露台, 專為晾衫而設。 開始時, 地產商把工作平台和環保露台合併成大露台, 政府卻認為違反立法原意,兩類露台需要分開，於是每個單位除了凸出窗台, 還加上兩粒小小的露台, 延續粟米樓的風格。 工作平台一般做成1.5 平方米, 小得只能容下一個人。 有些設計的比例與跟棺材無異, 被譽為是現代版的懸棺, 如百多個棺材高高的掛在建築外牆上, 蔚為奇觀。

Georgian建築在美國非常流行,但不要誤會Georgian建築是喬治亞州 (Georgia)的風格, 亦不是格魯吉亞 (Georgia) 的特色, 而是英王佐治時代的建築。 英王佐治為何會以自己命名又這麼流行的建築風格呢, 最重要的原因是人多，十八世紀就有連續四個英王佐治, 是名乎其實的佐治時代。 從佐治一世到四世, 英國經歷百多年,從啟蒙時代走到工業革命，由大不列顛 (Great Britain) 變成聯合王國 (United Kingdom ), 多了整個愛爾蘭, 佐治時代肯定是英國歷史上重要的大時代。 十八世紀英國史 – 太多佐治. 容許我們先看看佐治時代的英國歷史，先第一個佐治說起,佐治一世 (1660-1727) 得知自己被選中為英國國王時, 正睡在普魯斯 (現在的德國) 家的大床上, 聽到這重大消息他的即時反應是: 請讓我多睡一會 明顯是性情中人。 佐治二世 (1683-1760) 就是美國喬治亞州的 George, 也是King George’s War的George。
