Sunday, November 21, 2010. 8220;The Case Against College”. In her 2001 essay, “The Case Against College,” Linda Lee feels very strongly that NOT everyone should attend college and get a college education. Lee goes onto make several statements. One of her first statements is, “Until the computer industry came along, all the highest-paying jobs required. Doesn’t everyone need a good education to have any type of decent job? Of COURSE everyone needs a higher education! Need a higher education.”. Välkommen t...

Hannah Theisen's Blog: November 2010
http://hannahtheisensblog.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 25, 2010. Thanksgiving. Take a Moment! Well, right now I am sitting in my aunt's living room on her leather couch. And yep, we just finished our Thanksgiving meal! Ugh, I am so full! I'm stuffed with turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, rolls, stuffing, and soon to be pumpkin pie (to which my loving. Sister is so graciously receiving for me.). What am I thankful for? Well isn't it sort of obvious what I'm going to say? Parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins.

Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Well, this is my first blog posting! There are many stereotypes of homeschoolers and I have heard quite a few people say, “Wow, I could never be homeschooled. I have to be social! I have to be around people! I love the flexibility that allows me to participate in activities and family vacations during times when others are in school. I am so glad that I have been homeschooled and would definitely. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The End of the Beginning! View my complete profile.

Hannah Theisen's Blog: My Modest Proprosal
http://hannahtheisensblog.blogspot.com/2010/12/my-modest-proprosal.html
Tuesday, December 7, 2010. First of all, I was a little bit “weirded” out by Jonathan Swift’s “A Modest Proposal”. Eating babies? However, it was still an interesting essay to read. Hm… social problems in the United States? Well, to be perfectly honest I know near to nothing about economic issues or health care issues (it just doesn’t seem to interest me). Now, we all know that Minnesota has laws against texting and driving, right? But do follow them? Besides… you’ll never. The End of the Beginning!

http://hannahtheisensblog.blogspot.com/2010/11/reading-i-love-it.html
Thursday, November 4, 2010. Reading - I Love It! I love to read. I love reading series of books such as the “Love Comes Softly” series, or books that have sequels. I devour. I read that book over, and over and just couldn’t seem to get enough of it. Now, although I currently don’t have a “favorite” book, The Glass Castle. Would certainly be towards the top of my “must read” list. I absolutely LOVED this book! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The End of the Beginning! Thanksgiving. Take a Moment!

Thursday, October 28, 2010. On Teenagers and Tattoos. In Andres Martin’s essay, “ On Teenagers and Tattoos,”. So, how do I. React to body markings? Well, I personally have my ears pierced; just one hole on the bottom of each ear. Yet, whenever I see someone with piercings all over their face and tattoos up their arms, I tend to stare and judge. I usually think to myself, “Wow! How could somebody do that to their body? Friday, October 15, 2010. Functional" and "Dysfunctional" Families. The Glass Castle,.
