Friday, May 29, 2015. Ready to put the week behind us, we took the kids to Deep Lake in Nolte State Park in Enumclaw. It's a beautiful little park and great for paddling in. It doesn't have a life guard available and the shore line quickly drops off, so it's not an excellent swimming hole like Lake Wilderness. Thursday, May 29, 2014. How do you fix a toe with a blood blister under the nail? Last night, Heidi ran out into the garage that is covered in saw dust from Morgan's project. She slipped and fell on a scooter. When Dan brought her crying into me, I noticed that her big toe had a big purple lump underneath the nail that extended out and down the front of her toe. Monday, June 8, 2015. Our foray into the land of unemployment has not been without it's challenges. We married older- both of us were done with college and Dan had a "real" job when I met him. We've never had to go through the starving young married period. There wasn't a lot of money, but we chose to eat Ramen, we weren't forced into it. Tuesday, May 5, 2015. You know that friend that always shows up late to the party? We found ours yesterday. Last night there was a growling, thrumming noise in the kitchen around dinner time. Ears perked, we went on a hunt. It was the microwave. The one that has to be replaced anyway because the face is coming off, but melted 2 cubes of butter in 20 seconds to the perfect cookie making consistency. We unplugged the life line. We've actually had one of the coldest winters I've experienced in Southern California. Not that our 28 degree weather can even touch the negative degrees I experienced in Idaho!
