http://averysstory.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
From Dreams to Reality. This is the story of my life as mom, wife and just plain me. Life hasn't always turned out the way I dreamed it would. Sometimes reality can be so much better. This is where I will share my dreams, rejoice in reality, and when things don't go as planned, well, we'll just have to see how I handle that. Tuesday, July 24, 2012. September in My Sights. I seriously can't wait! And then after we get back. school starts. I'm actually excited about it. We are going a totally n...We are ta...

Reaction, renovation, recipes, reads, and reflections. Thursday, April 21, 2011. Those end of the year things. We homeschool with the help of a weekly co-op, where Thomas is able to participate in a class environment. They recently had their end of the year presentations. He was all nerves until the moment his teacher went up to the front, and then he was chomping at the bit to get up there. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Those end of the year things. Reaction, renovation, recipes, reads, and reflections. Monday, June 11, 2012. God, me, and Clive, Day 2: The Green Book. Clive begins his first chapter in. The Abolition of Man. I doubt whether we are sufficiently attentive to the importance of elementary text books. The Green Book, as he calls it, was an English book used extensively in secondary level British schools beginning in the 1930s, and is Lewis's launching point for. The Abolition of Man. That's Clive. Now, he begins constructing his bomb.

Adventures in Single Parenting: September 2011

Adventures in Single Parenting. Follow my Journey through Single Parenting. Monday, September 5, 2011. We expect for people to read our minds and not to mention anything that causes us pain, no matter how innocent the comment is. Sometimes people can be truly insensitive, but most times, people don't even realize they are causing you pain. They may say something innocently and it goes right to your heart and stays there like a dart on a dartboard. So, tonight I will lay my burden down at the feet of Jesu...

Adventures in Single Parenting. Follow my Journey through Single Parenting. Sunday, May 29, 2011. A fire in the backyard. Even though it was a little chilly last night, I lit a fire. The boys were playing with friends and soon we had several neighborhood children in our backyard roasting marshmallows and talking. Simple polite conversation seems to be missing in these days of cell phones, facebook. In the hour and a half we were outside, not one child texted, played a video game, logged on to facebook.

Adventures in Single Parenting. Follow my Journey through Single Parenting. Monday, March 12, 2012. Vignettes of a normal, blessed day. It's been a really, really, really long time since I've blogged. I know, I've been a bad blogger, but hey, life sometimes gets in the way. Yesterday, I just had a few incidences that happened and I just wanted to share. There was nothing earth-shattering, but the situations that happened just touched me, so I wanted to share. Do you want to do another? When I put the boy...

Adventures in Single Parenting. Follow my Journey through Single Parenting. Thursday, December 30, 2010. My Resolutions for 2011. The boys went on a playdate today and I had from 11 am until 5:30 pm all to myself. What a blessing. I did a lot of thinking during that time and surprisingly, I missed my kids like crazy! I was so happy to see them come through the door. I haven't had much time to myself in the past 10 months and today, the day before New Year's Eve got me thinking. 1 Be content in the present.

I wish you were here with me to still help me and give me advice, but you're not here. You did teach me how to be a good parent and I am trying with ever fiber of my being to be as good of a parent to Danny and Joey as you were to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you! My boys having fun and making a new memory today. Tuesday, February 22, 2011.
