A Whole New World Wide Web. Taking on Web Journalism. Gay Pride and the Great Divide. I did not grow up in Western Massachusetts. Walking down Main Street, as it turns out, is like a crash course in the gay sub-culture. Needless to say, life at the University of Massachusetts was quite a change for Megan. But to be honest, what’s the point? We’re all just humans. And we all like to have sex. Must being gay be the primary identifier for someone who simply likes the same gender as themselves? A Whole New World Wide Web. Taking on Web Journalism. Hey there, world. I’m Megan, and this is (obviously) my blog. Currently, I’m studying journalism and political science at UMass Ahmerst as a sophomore. When I’m not in class and not swimming through miles of homework, I can probably be found reading a book, mucking about on the internets, annoying friends, or sleeping. Now the beginning of November has given American iPhone users yet another Steve Jobs mishap to whine about. Photo Credit: kodomut at Flikr.com. And what does Apple Support. Have to say for itself? In some regions, shortly before or after the daylight saving time (DST) change, repeating alarms created in the Clock app may work incorrectly. 8220;...

A Whole New World Wide Web. Taking on Web Journalism. Live-blogging: The McMahon/Grimm Race for NY 13th. Well, this end the live-blogging of the 2010 Elections. Good night all, and tomorrow we wake up in a GOP House of Representative. I can hardly wait. (Please, hear the dripping sarcasm.). Still no change, but 50% of the votes in. 50% Grimm (R), 49% McMahon (D). It’ll be a close one, folks. 44% of votes in. 44% Democrats, 55% Republicans. 1% of the votes in. This is NOT GOOD. On a related note, the Sena...

A Whole New World Wide Web. Taking on Web Journalism. Videos that go viral are oftentimes quick, hilarious or an oddity, and utterly random. I believe it can safely be said that all of those characteristics are present in this week’s YouTube meme: Baby Bob Marley. It was posted by the adults in the car, and in addition to linking out to iTunes, where one can purchase said Bob Marley song, it also links out to the video’s very own T-shirt line (“Help this baby go to college”).
