Stephanie vanKampen: Preparing for an Intercontinental Trip
http://stephanievankampen.blogspot.com/2008/08/preparing-for-intercontinental-trip.html
Friday, August 8, 2008. Preparing for an Intercontinental Trip. The last few days has been nuts. Completely nuts. It's just too much, having to think of everything.from malaria pills at the clinic to finding long, modest skirts, to catching up with friends I haven't seen in months, to finalizing transcripts from Georgetown. Today is my last day on the Island before I start out on the extremely long trip to Zambia that will put me in the air for 24 hours and en route for 4 days. I'll leave Halifax air...

Friday, May 22, 2009. So this is my first post since I graduated from college. Yes, it's true! I am now the proud owner of a bachelor of arts degree in print journalism! Oh, and I have a minor in English. What a pairing! In any event, with this change in my life comes a change to this blog. It's former self reflected too much of last summer and not enough of my progressive life. But I've named it thus for very specific reasons:. Well, I'm at a loss for words now. What do I say? Ready Set. Go!

Saturday, August 2, 2008. How could something come and go so quickly? It seems like only yesterday that I was seeing Washington, D.C. for the first time. I met my program directors; I met my apartment mates. I met my fellow interns and classmates—some of the most amazing people in the world, I’ ve. Now eight weeks have passed. We’ ve. All been changed; we’ ve. So many of us have claimed to have met some of the most incredible people—now friends—this summer, making it a disappointment to leave. Gained fro...

A Conservative Perspective: Time
http://thebrandenburgblog.blogspot.com/2008/07/time.html
Monday, July 28, 2008. For many, it's just another dull, dreary, disappointing Monday morning. For me, it's my last Monday morning in D.C. for a long, long time. It hit me on the bus: this is my last week in D.C. I got sad. I thought, " This isn't fair. Why do good things always have to end? Then I saw a Porsche on the road - it made me smile.
