Baked Chicken with Beer and Herbs. 8 pieces of chicken, thighs or drumsticks. 1 whole garlic, peeled. 4oz smoked bacon pieces. 3 carrots chopped into chunks. 1 tablespoon juniper berries (optional). 1 tablespoon mixed herbs. Gas 6/200c/400f – Serves 4. Place all the ingredients in a baking dish and pour over the beer. Bake for 1 hour turning the chicken every 15 mins. Serve. Friday, 24 October 2014. Thursday, 6 August 2015. Sweet and Sour Courgettes. Sorry folks but here's another courgette recipe for you all. I wasn't sure about these when I read the recipe at Selmas Table. 400ml White wine or cider vinegar. Slice the courgettes in 1/2cm rings, then finely slice the onion. Layer the courgettes and onion in a bowl sprinkling the salt between the layers. Leave in the fridge for 1 hour. Some parts of the church had collapsed over the years but the church is now being properly cared for and in 1914 it was given Historic Building status. Saturday, 28 February 2015. L’Huile de Noix. It was such an interesting afternoon and the owner was so informative. I will add captions to the photos to guide you through the process. We just need to let the oil settle now for 2 weeks, then it can be popped into a nice bottle and used to make delicious dressings and baking. Nuts shelled and ready to go.
