Thursday, December 23, 2010. CATCHING UP BEFORE CHRISTMAS. Somehow it has been two whole months since I posted last. Not sure how time slips away so quickly. Here at home, we have been enjoying the Christmas season in small ways. Last year at Christmas time, I started these stockings. My dear mother finished them for me yesterday. I'm really happy with how they turned out. Last year, I didn't do much in the way of homemade gifts, still being in a new baby fog. This year, it's simply bags of granola.

Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Yesterday, Wilder couldn't get enough of the oatmeal cookies my mom. Today, he is loving the almond-quinoa muffins I made for lunch. Saturday, July 16, 2011. JUST A LITTLE TO SAY. I never have much to say when I am pregnant. And what little I do want to get off my chest, usually fits nicely in a Facebook status. Hence, the four months of silence. Life around here has been good. Rich in friendship and community. I've been on bed rest for two weeks now. So, others are taking care of my children, fixing our food, cleaning my house. Guilt mixed with gratitude is sort of a weird place to be. I'm happy to be back, in whatever capacity.

March 25, 2009. Let it be chocolate and vanilla. Quick post from me today, on the eve of a big day tomorrow. MM ships out tomorrow, so we are spending the evening hanging out and doing everything possible to distract ourselves. Not sure how it happened, but web browsing and wedding stuff ensued. And once again he surprises me by falling head over heels for something. In this case it is cake. Specifically, the cakes from a small Ottawa vendor, The Girl with the Most Cake. Can we have one of those?
