After a week of vacation and a week of inactivity (didn't even get a chance to start the car after we got back from vacation! I drove it a bit yesterday and the usual - pulled strongly but ran like crap! I am going to have to start mixing in some fresh high-test gas as I am just below 1/2 a tank. The passenger's side front brake seems to be scraping a bit. I need to check the pads on that side. The look ok peering through the wheel, but it's hard to get light onto the brake pads and still be able to see. My first car and the only new one I have ever owned was a 1970 standard beetle, Yukon (light) yellow. With optional AM radio and undercoating. I bought it in the spring of my junior year of college at Iowa State University from Harry Sayers VW, then in Council Bluffs, Iowa, for $2200 including tax and license.
