Rubrics, in my opinion, are another way of presenting objectives and imposing the 'teachers' requirements on the learner. The learner is still 'marked' according to a rubric imposed by the 'teacher'. Why can't the lear...

I wish it could be kept alive. This leads me to ask the question "How do you retain those 'ah hah' moments in the classroom? Would it be worthwhile for us to audio-tape our classroom discussions?

From the time I walked into the classroom of ED6225: Designing Constructivist Learning Environments, I was pleasantly suprised when Ellen told us we were expected to determine our own learning goals and outline how we felt we should be evaluated. http://blogofdeb.blogspot.com/2004/09/what-was-constructivist-about-our.html

Thursday, September 16, 2004. What was constructivist about our first class? I think Dan did a great job of analyzing our first class (see Dan's Blog.
