My lovely parents were just over celebrating their 40th at our house (another post, and one that will take more time) and encouraged us to spend 3 days in vancouver for our 14th anniversary. We found a beautiful little B&B just off stanley park and had a great time eating, walking, kayaking and biking. The celebration of light was fortuitously going one while we were there. plenty of people showed up to see what brazil had to offer. The views were gorgeous!

We didnt even get winter this year in the valley, so our family had to travel to find it. back in feb. we loaded up and drove the arduous 110km to manning park. a short trip, but a big difference in climate as soon as we climbed out of the valley. It has snowed the last couple days and today I took the boys out with Niko and Zeke was done after about ten minutes (and it was only -1). A place to ponder pictures problems and prose. We have been busy round these parts here lately with Ty recently turning 4. Brad and Raquel and Maria came out to help us celebrate the event. But first I will start with the cake. . . Traditional cake picture: It did not involve NCAA basketball on in the background this year as the tournament doesn't start until later but instead a former high school basketball star and two future 2025 high school all stars. ;).
