Four Things: May 2009
http://thestans-janna.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 18, 2009. Carson pics from early May. Morgan and Carson taking a break from playing baseball to stomp on some ants. Carson and Jeff made birthday party hats for Jason's birthday. Carson was so proud of them: "I have a hat from you J! Why Carson has no pants on, I don't know.). Sitting in the flowerbed, scooping dirt out of the flowerbed into a golf ball hole. Rocking Baby Penguin to sleep with my headband on. Shhh baby penguin, it's alright, you're just tired.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
Four Things: December 2008
http://thestans-janna.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 29, 2008. The afternoon-after, Christmas 2008. I'm taking a quick break at work and thought I'd post a few thoughts. You can't quit holiday activities cold-turkey, so I'm reminiscing for a moment over the laughs (lots), tears (some) and things I want to remember from Christmas 2008. Although it can be hectic (see the 'what we're up to' list! As a little conversation with a very sleepy Carson last night went (after the 8th 'party' in 7 days) . Me: We had a big few days, didn't we? 3 Timin...
Four Things: Celebrating Easter
http://thestans-janna.blogspot.com/2009/04/celebrating-easter.html
Friday, April 24, 2009. Round-up of my favorite pics from Easter. Carson and "my friend Gabby" chased each other around Mom and Tom's yard with random toys before finding eggs. Easter the Bunny, JD and Carson at Dad and Gwen's. One of these days the boys will be as tall as the bunny, which has been holding his carrot and waving on Easter for a LONG time. 20 years, since the original 'Wells Egg Hunt,' right? Love, love, love this picture of Jeff and Carson flying a kite. What We're Up To.
Four Things: November 2008
http://thestans-janna.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 26, 2008. Stealing Julie's idea of sharing this on the blog instead of email. Here's the cliffs notes version of my thoughts on the holidays! 1 Wrapping paper or gift bags? Paper I love wrapping! I stock up after Christmas each year on ribbon and bows so I'm set for the next year. Found a new way to wrap that makes a little pocket for a card - excited to try that out. 2 Real tree or Artificial? 3 When do you put up the tree? 4 When do you take the tree down? 5 Do you like eggnog?

It was a great week and a good break from the regular work, but it had it's repercussions. How can you be gone for five days and have 186 EMAILS! Can't wait for Wednesday! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday, December 21, 2008. Can't wait to visit Ohio! The past few months have flown by! I spent a month in Ft. Lewis flying under NVG's (night vision goggles). Then was fortunate enough to get to fly one of our Chinooks back to Fairbanks through Canada. The pictures will be posted later. The weeks after that consisted of trying to find how to get people back from Southern California during a snow storm (where is this global warming? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Cant wait to visit Ohio!

Tuesday, September 30, 2014. From these expectations. The best way I know to do that is to write my own story about parenthood, and try to listen when others tell me theirs. Mothering is the soft brush of exploring fingertips across my cheek, down my forearm, contrasting with the dry knobbly dorsum of my own hand. The bright eyes that sparkle, the contented smile while a tiny voice hums almost inaudibly its pleasure. Pleasure in me! Mothering is what if I do it wrong? 8221; For every refusal to tolerate ...
