Monday, February 23, 2015. Yesterday we had a chance to bless Isla in church. The occasion was made more special because Yo's parents were able to be here for it. The day was spent surrounded by friends and family- some of the people who love Isla the most. It was a wonderful celebration of the blessing that sweet Isla has been in our lives, and only could have been made more perfect if more of our family (and a few friends who feel like family) would have been able to attend as well. Saturday, December 31, 2011. A Taste of Christmas. After the fantastic Orlando wedding, I took a train (yes, they have passenger trains in America! To West Palm Beach, where my fabulous cousin Erika. Picked me up for that blessed first dinner at Panera and shopping trip to Target, a Guammie dream date if I've ever heard of one. Step one: Add half a pound of lard to four cups of flour. Three years later, I spent a summer working to help her edit her poems into one complete volume called Utter Magic.
