Lacey and Austin are living with a missionary family from Michigan who have agricultural and Bible club ministries. Their home is in Karaba just outside the city of Kakamega. This is their house, garden and chicken coop. Dennis Freeland milking, Michelle Freeland waiting for the milk! Austin helping with cow chores. Adventures of the Howe Family Traveling Circus. Monday, July 7, 2014. We stayed at the Golf Hotel in Kakamega, about 10 minutes from the Freeland's house. The hotel is very nice and a place L and A like to go for tea or lunch and free wifi! The hotel pool is available for day use (something Lacey has done in the past). After getting settled in at the hotel, we left to see the town where they live! So we walked to the corner where a bunch of piki drivers were waiting. I must admit, it was fun and scary!

We left after a wonderful week in Africa and flew back to Amsterdam where we met the Wintertons who had just arrived from Boston! Me, Paula, Don and Chuck at breakfast in Amsterdam. Heidleburg Castle, Germany. Check out the size of this wine vat! Castles along the Rhine River. Kinderdiik, The Netherlands. The Howes and Wintertons with our new Viking friends and favorite waiter. A beautiful ending to a fabulous vacation!
