Random thoughts from a random guy. Consumption, Creation and the Balance Between. April 24, 2014. My balance between being a consumer and a creator is skewed. It not only leaves me unsatisfied as a listener, it adversely effects my experience as a musician. My ear is more attuned to interesting harmonies, phrasing, melodic content through all of my listening. My playing, however, can’t match that. You could say my ear is ahead of hands! Random thoughts from a random guy. May 29, 2014. Yesterday was my first born’s 8th birthday. Hard to believe. We marked the occasion with a special pancake breakfast, Wifey and I took the day off from work and brought her class donuts and then capped it off with a trip to Frankie’s arcade.
