Sunday, October 26, 2008. Johann Sebastian Bach appended the words " Soli Deo Gloria. At the end of every piece of music he wrote. Soli Deo Gloria is latin for "Glory to God alone". There are several ways that mathematicians indicate the end of their proofs. The traditional way is to close with a "QED. Or " quod erat demonstrandum. I did that for an unpublished manuscript. Wednesday, October 10, 2007. I got cited twice in the Star last Sunday- in the education section cover piece titled Much ado about morals. Frankly, I'm a bit curious about the 'revised moral syllabus' that the article refers to. However, as long as the syllabus involves rote memorization of dictionary definitions, I stand by my belief that our time would be better spent on a comparative religion class.
