Dartmoor Pony Sales List. Tuesday, 25 August 2009. Two Dartmoors for sale - SOLD. We have 2 Dartmoor geldings, 2 year olds, who are looking for new homes. £150.00 each. Both these ponies were bought at Chagford pony sales last year. We had hoped to train them to drive, but with our advancing years and loss of help to do this, we sadly have to find new homes for them. The 'wild' section of the moor, also the highest. The Postbridge and Two Bridges area is an ideal base to start walking. Some delightful villages to be discovered in this popular part of the moor. Uncle Tom Cobbley's' Widdecombe is a major tourist attraction. Chagford and North Bovey are well worth a visit. Some excellent walking is to be had either side of the Sharpitor / Princetown Road. This part of the moor is full of antiquities from pre-history to the industrial revolution.
