This walk is best at low tide as can walk across the front on the beach all the way from the ferry point to Mill Bay and sometimes to Sunny Cove. Back after a week off to log some more of my routes around South Devon. This one is around Avon Dam which is just above South Brent in Dartmoor, a good walk with some great views. Walk is about 6 miles and takes about 3 hours, we stopped for lunch half way around so took an extra half hour. A copy of the map is below but as ever there is a version on OS get-a-map.

Some flat bits, some steep uphills and downhills. Time = 3 hours. After walking for a while you will then come out at Churston Cove. This Cove is split in two by a headland in the middle. Buggy-able = fine up until Honey bag Tor. For my second post thought I would look at one of my Dartmoor walks. This one doesn’t take you too long but you can get some cracking views on a clear day.
