Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Sothis is what happens when I'm bored and one of my cats just happens to be nearby when I have my camera. Neko hates to have his picture taken. Whenever I try to take his picture he turns his head and totally ignores me, it's kind of comical when he does it. So this is how I get back at him, only he doesn't know it. I know. Friday, June 27, 2014. We also have nesting House Wren but she doesn't sit still for very long and when I get close to the nest box she hides up in the neighbors pear tree and lets me know she's not a happy camper. New to our yard this year is a nesting pair of Tree Swallows, that gives us something new to watch this year, we think they look like miniature penguins. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Monday, December 24, 2012. Downy in the cold. I went down to find the Eagle that hangs out by the river, I found it but as soon as I drove down the road it flew away, so I got out and walked a ways down the path. Tuesday, August 13, 2013. This is a Cosmos from my yard, I was really surprised to see them actually come up since the seeds I threw out in the dirt were several years old. Now I have a bunch of them growing. This one I processed using Black and White PS actions from Paintthemoon (paintthemoon.net) and texture from Joel Olives (joelolives.com). Monday, September 2, 2013. Well, our peach tree did not disappoint. We were really worried that it would not produce much fruit due to a cold snap just as it was blooming, but it proved us wrong; that tree was loaded! Monday, December 16, 2013. Our annual visit from Santa where I am employed, my most favorite event to photograph even though taking pictures of people is way out of my comfort zone but it's so much fun to watch the kids go up and talk to Santa. It must have been this little ones very fist time seeing Santa, she was totally mesmerized by him. When I saw how she was looking up at him I instantly had this vision in my head of how I could process this photo, that rarely happens. Here is the 'before' photo:.

Monday, October 29, 2012. No real birds or eggs were disturbed in the making of this photo). It's amazing what things you can find at Hobby Lobby, like this cool birds nest, feathers and bird eggs! Santa on a Chair. Just messing around with some still life photography. Pulled out one of my Santa decorations and sat him on my old wooden chair I found at an antique store.
