Monday, March 25, 2013. Coconut Oil for greasing the pan. Smush the bananas, beat in the eggs. Cook the pancakes over medium-high heat. Ok, so that sounds easy enough. Well, the first time they didn't turn out very well. For some reason they didn't hold their shape, and were a crumpled pile of mush when the family ate them. But the flavor was delicious! And my husband labeled them a success. So we tried them again and again. Here's a few things we have learned. They do taste like bananas (yum! One of our...

Friday, July 30, 2010. Well, it has been three weeks since we welcomed Whitaker into the world. And what a full three weeks it has been. Sam and I came home from the hospital with Whitaker on Saturday the 10th. Friday was the beginning of our Youth Summer Camp. Sam and I, and 7 young people, headed out to the campground where we had been earlier in the week. We got the campground set up and enjoyed playing in the river while we waited for the other staff and the speaker to get there. Friday, July 16, 2010.

While I am finishing up dinner, it is their special time together. We have also gone on a couple jobs with Sam too. Here Whit was hanging out in the back of the truck while Sam filled up the trailer with brush. Climbing trees like Dad. Friday, August 6, 2010. Four Weeks and the Hundred Acre Woods. Monday, May 31, 2010. Hotdogs over the Fire Pit. Sam dug a big hole, and then lined it with the bricks. Here it is all lined and ready. Because we dont have much of a back yard, I really didnt want to give up any space to a "hole in the ground." Also, I didnt want to have to worry about kids playing in the hole or falling in and hurting themselves. So our compromise (and Sam's brilliant idea) was to make a grass top for it that could be removed and replaced. Here is the top before we put the grass on it.

Olive Green: my 2 year old son's art work...
http://olivegreencards.blogspot.com/2009/09/my-2-year-old-sons-art-work.html
Tuesday, September 15, 2009. My 2 year old son's art work. My son just loves painting, drawing, printing and art! And so do i! And i especially love his printed art! I think its gorgeous. He tells me its a plane, but secretly i love the slight elephant resemblence that it has! I have great plans for all his printed art. im thinking along the lines of diaplaying them all together on a white background with a black frame. Thats all im going to say!
