But I did smell it, and when I called Dassels Petroleum about it I was told that this was normal when the tank got low and was nothing to worry about. Well, I see that a house down the street from me, which has had a Dassel’s tank for at least the past 12 years, now has an Amerigas tank. Just say - NO - to bad customer service. Six days to get propane connected. January 31st, 2013. Renting a home and the prior tenant canceled their service before we moved in. This meant that Dassel’s came out and removed the valve, etc, rendering the house without gas. That’s all well and good. Except for when you want to get it turned back on.
