Lumen de Lumine: It's been a while...
http://lumen-de-lumine.blogspot.com/2006/03/its-been-while.html
Saturday, March 11, 2006. It's been a while. I've been taking a little break from my blog while I finished up on midterms and took care of a few things I needed to get done. I'm staying on campus for Spring break because I need to work. What a bummer. At least Jennie is here. I finally stopped being sick, although now the seasonal allergies are starting to kick in. Anyway, that's the short summary of my life since two weeks ago. Micah we still love you :) Is Spring Break now? Being an RA is overrated!

Lumen de Lumine: Hark, the Herald...
http://lumen-de-lumine.blogspot.com/2007/06/hark-herald.html
Monday, June 18, 2007. Hark, the Herald. Knead it and make rolls." He ran to the herd, picked out a tender, choice steer, and gave it to a servant, who quickly prepared it. Then he got some curds and milk, as well as the steer that had been prepared, and set these before them; and he waited on them under the tree while they ate. "Where is your wife Sarah? But the LORD said to Abraham: "Why did Sarah laugh and say, 'Shall I really bear a child, old as I am? Is anything too marvelous for the LORD to do?

Lumen de Lumine: Who wants to keep me on my toes?
http://lumen-de-lumine.blogspot.com/2006/06/who-wants-to-keep-me-on-my-toes.html
Friday, June 30, 2006. Who wants to keep me on my toes? Who wants to see me write a catechesis on my blog? I'll do it, if you suggest a topic for me to tackle. Go on, reply to this post with your ideas. Daughter of St. John. Hmmmm, how about a catechesis on fraternal correction? I like that idea. Do that. Do something. Anything. WowI don't know when these were made, but they weren't within the first few weeks. I don't have time anymore. Sorry ladies. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). And If Not.".

Lumen de Lumine: A Dose of Humiliation is Good for the Soul
http://lumen-de-lumine.blogspot.com/2006/02/dose-of-humiliation-is-good-for-soul.html
Wednesday, February 22, 2006. A Dose of Humiliation is Good for the Soul. Last night and this morning, I've poored through half of C.S. Lewis' Screwtape Letters. And rapidly discovered that a great many of these demonic bits of advice apply to my life and my actions. Traps and snares abound in my life, yet I tend not to be mindful of their abundance.reading a book like that convicts the soul and humiliates a man in his own eyes. Can't beat that advice. Lumen de Lumine: How God Works with Holy People
http://lumen-de-lumine.blogspot.com/2006/02/how-god-works-with-holy-people.html
Thursday, February 23, 2006. How God Works with Holy People. Sr M Iohanna Paruch was speaking to our catechetics class about Archbishop Daniel M. Buechlein, OSB. While a Benedictine monk, Fr. Buechlein, he was asked to become a bishop and humbly said that he would not take on such a duty. Some time later, while staying at a hotel while on a trip, he answered the phone, "Fr. Buechlein, how may I help you? Daughter of St. John. LOL, God sure does have a sense of humor! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Lumen de Lumine: Where Charity and Love Prevail
http://lumen-de-lumine.blogspot.com/2006/02/where-charity-and-love-prevail.html
Saturday, February 25, 2006. Where Charity and Love Prevail. I've been getting progressively more ill since Thursday and last night I couldn't do anything with Jennie because it was obvious that I was too sick. She called me up last night to talk after she got off work. "Babe, I'm at Walmart. Do you need anything? Wow," I thought to myself, "boy am I lucky.she really loves me.she wants to take care of me when I'm sick." I couldn't help but smile. Okay, I'll look for it.". Daughter of St. John. ZENIT Cath...

Lumen de Lumine: Marketing Morality
http://lumen-de-lumine.blogspot.com/2007/06/marketing-morality.html
Monday, June 11, 2007. My friend Travis and I like to make fun of commercials. Not in the sense of laughing at beer-advertising frogs or car-insuring geckos. No, that would be too normal, and theology students are far from normal. We sat around one day and thought of all the stupid slogans we had seen. Wendy's - "Do what tastes right.". Seriously, could Wendy's be to blame for the downfall of American morality? I mean, we know from good Catholic moral theology the common phrase. Nike - "Just do it.".
