Friday, August 22, 2014. Yesterday was a rare cool-ish day in August in Arizona (that means under 95º). It felt as if it would rain all day long. Hazel had her first lesson with Cowboy Dave Garcia. Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Oliver - almost 10! Years old. Mrs. Dewhirst's 4th grade class. Hazel - 7-1/2 years old. Mrs. Fierro's 2nd grade class. I'm not sure when my kids started looking so grown up, but these first day of school pictures make me realize they are getting big.fast! I think it's Ollie's grown out hair and man-sized feet. And I think it's Hazel's "pomp" or "poof" that she requested as her hair style today and the jean jacket that she just had to have (and then wear in the 100º heat!

It was the first time either of us had ever been to Myrtle Beach. It was a great time of year to go, (the crowds hadn't flocked to the area yet, and the weather was perfect).
