Before we set off to Paihia in our newly acquired car, Helen had done the rounds around our hostel seeing if anyone else wanted to tag along with us, asking one person in particular we saw who we assumed was quiet and reserved but unfortunately he had already arranged travel. Erm, where are we again? Sunday, 10 May 2009. Banks peninsula until the end of NZ. We first went to a little Village called Barry's bay, unfortunately when we just parked outside our hostel (Halfmoon Cottage) our car ceased up and wouldn't budge a inch. I called the car hire comapny and thankfully it seems that the car company had ill-advised Helen on how to drive the Automatic car, in case you have never been in a automatic car, the car has P, R and D for Park, Reverse and Drive and it also had 2 and L.
