Solution Explorer for PowerShell ISE. The PowerShell ISE is a fine environment for writing PowerShell scripts, but handling a large number of files becomes a chore with using the common open dialog and tabs to manage files. The PowerShell ISE also supports add-on panes, so I put together a little file explorer pane that lists all the ps1 and psm1 files under the PowerShell profile. To do this I leveraged ShowUI. PowerShell Start-Process without taking focus. Earlier this week I had a need to start a process from PowerShell and ensure that it did not take focus. This doesn’t seem to be supported by the Start-Process cmdlet or any other mechanism built into PowerShell, so I quickly built this script to call into CreateProcess with SW SHOWNOACTIVATE. Apple Watch Update: I put in a big day, strapped it on around 7:30 AM and didn’t look back until just past midnight. After well over a hundred notifications, showing it off for half a dozen people, and using the fitness tracking for a 2 hour mountain bike ride, the watch still has 13% left without any mid-day charging.
