They are also trained in how to raise a certain breed of goats for maximum milk production and another breed for their meat. Talapia, a fish that has become popular in U. S. restaurants, are also raised on the farm. This breed of fish reaches a good harvesting size in 4 to 5 months. The picture is of a talapia pond that is churning with hundreds of fish. We woke up on our normal schedule, which means, I woke up a couple of hours earlier than Becky. Dave and Belinda's Big Bike Ride. Europe, here we come! Tuesday, September 6, 2011. History, more history and the end of a journey. The size of some of the pieces was astounding. There were huge columns from Egypt and magnificent gate sculptures that would flank a gate of an Assyrian palace. Monday was our last day of sightseeing and we started at St. Paul's cathedral, the architectural masterpiece of Christopher Wren. We climbed all 528 stairs to the Golden gallery above the dome.
