http://familiaratliff.blogspot.com/2014/08/safari-at-yala-national-park.html
Ratliff thoughts, news, and silly stuff! Thursday, August 14, 2014. Safari at Yala National Park. I think Sri Lanka is like 6 vacations in 1! We were in the jungle, mountains, hills, agricultural, ancient ruins, and now on a Safari that made me feel like we were at a game park in Africa. Our fantastic guide/driver told us before we planned the trip that this Yala National Park would be the place to go! Lucia- insert creative nickname. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Harold B. Ratliff thoughts, news, and silly stuff! Sunday, June 29, 2014. Camping is not something that immediately comes to mind when youthink about moving to the dessertbut we quicklyl learned that it's a favorite here. There's plenty of space, the winter weather is perfect for outdoors stuff, and it's nice and cheap once you get some equipment. Here was when we went to the dunes to camp last Fall (this post has been hiding in my draft box). Kids and dirt, this place is pretty much their heaven! Harold B. Lee.

Ratliff thoughts, news, and silly stuff! Thursday, March 21, 2013. So, on our way to DC (to do our immigration paperwork and visit some family), the craigslist photographer we had booked cancelled to do a wedding. I was so stressed and trying to find a last minute replacement but everyone I contacted was too busy, too expensive, not willing to provide digital copies of the prints etc. Oh, the place we were already planning to be that day. SWEEEET! Plus she was great, and so talented! Tender mercy for sure.

Ratliff thoughts, news, and silly stuff! Monday, October 14, 2013. Half a day in the RAK. Eid is the feast of the sacrifice, a celebration of when Abraham didn't have to sacrifice his son, so naturally, ram is on the menu and we saw a LOT of sheep headed for feasts on our trip to RAK! We also saw a lot more camels than on our trip to Abu Dhabi, but we couldn't get any decent pictures! We spent the afternoon in Ras Al Khaimah with a few friends and had a blast in our host's lovely pool! Links to this post.

Ratliff thoughts, news, and silly stuff! Thursday, June 13, 2013. Jason's dissertation defense is upon us, just hours away. We're all on pins and needles. We hope the committee will be kind. We hope the edits are not extensive, since the deadline is just 10 days away. We hope Jason can relax, and do his best, and feel good about it. But, on a lighter note, have you seen this funny video.
