Thursday, October 1, 2009. Our Family Enrichment Committee (that David and I both serve on) just planned and carried out a Family Retreat for our church family. It was so much fun! I wish everyone could have been there. Those that couldn't, truly missed out! I can't wait for the next one, and I hope that more people will come. We, as a committee, were pleasantly surprised by the turn out we had for our very first retreat. Our expectations were met and then some! Have one every year, please!

Monday, December 21, 2009. 6 Year Old Grief. Just wanted you all to know that we are getting into the yucky part of Lafe's grief process. We are consulting one of our ministers who has a lot of experience and education on grief. He tells us that the things Lafe is doing and saying are healthy. However, they are not fun to be experiencing! My heart breaks over and over again everyday. I know these last few posts have been sad and depressing, but we need your prayers. Okay first of all, I can't believe Ashley saw Melissa at Target! 160;It's way too easy to forget that the people on tv are real people living real lives. Sunday, April 12, 2009. They will see us waving from such great heights. So I don't ever really tap in to the person I used to be. But there is a time for everything. And I used to be particularly talented at some things that could be of use these days. Being confident (sometimes too much so). On the wall over my desk I taped a piece of paper.
