Decided to fish a different stretch of the Ribble today 9-8-13 opted for an afternoon session setting off at 11:30am arrived on the Middle stretch of the river just after 12. Arrived on the Upper Ribble just gone 4pm walked to my usual Hot spot about 3/4 mile walk then realised I'd forgotten the bait Bucket well FFS! Consist of a Size 12 Korda Curve Shank. 15lb Korda Super Natural. 12lb Korda IQ Fluro. Quite a Simple Set up Usually for me its 4' of Fluro and 2-4" of Super Natural. A Specialist Anglers Diary. The story so far. Tuesday, 27 May 2014. Estate lake tench - giving em some grubs. As that question was asked you'll have gathered that I did indeed break the run of blanks, in fact I had a cracking days sport and ended up with a dozen fish to 6lb 12oz. I started out with one rod on the dura method feeder and dampened pellet but after the fourth bite on the blocked and maggot rig I put the same on both rods and didn't look back. Heron nest on the island. Best fish of a wet day.
