Coe State Park Mapping Project

Mapping Project for Coe State Park. This is an ongoing project between myself, Bob Patrie and Bill Levey. Bill's maps of the southern part of Coe State Park inspired us to do a more complete map of the park. Bob provided the specialized GPS equipment - a Trimble GeoExplorer II, data processing expertise, and willingness to take himself and us to wherever we needed to take map data. Reports that the heavy rains in Death Valley this spring would result in the best wildflower season in 50 years convinced. Us to make a trip there. We spent the week of April 4th and had quite an adventure. The first night was spent in Mojave, where we had a cold strong wind. The next morning was calm and we drove north.
