She studied art at the University of Minnesota in the USA, and studied various craft and art courses in Los Angeles over the course of ten years, including soft pastels and watercolours. She has also sold paintings at ACOP exhibitions. She first learned about porcelain painting while living in Kenya. He is also a talented leadlight artist having completed many commissions over the years. He enjoys working with acrylics, watercolours, pencils and inks and has recently introduced a palette knife into his art works, creating a more abstract form. Ensp;≡ Menu. Ann Guys pet portraits, art and screenprinting. Ann Guy is a Sydney-based artist who started selling paintings at the age of nineteen. She branched into screen printing on fabric in 1972 selling baby clothes, aprons, manchester and bed linen while still marketing her artwork. In the 1990's Ann welded her craft with her art to make bold screenprints on paper. Her subjects included Australian wildlife and landscapes. Our exhibitions at Mona Vale Memorial Hall (located at the red arrow in the photo above) are close to our beaches, close to Pittwater, and surrounded by places to eat. Come and enjoy our traditional suburban centres. No mega-malls here - we still have mainly single-storey shopfronts, an enormous variety of local places to eat, and two of Sydney's last few surviving independent cinemas nearby (at Avalon and Warriewood). Or, why not enjoy a day exploring our waterways?
