Blog of Doody: October 2012
http://blogofdoody.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Monday, October 15, 2012. I got slightly off course with my schedule, working on hair and skin before finishing the cloths of the model. Because I was never completely confident in the clothing design of my character, I haven't been able to commit myself to finishing the clothing models. My quarrels with the design seem to have calmed a bit more so I will likely be moving forward with those this week. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Links To Student Blogs. View my complete profile.

Monday, March 28, 2011. Production Pipeline: Texturing Workflow. Last week I was able to unwrap the Tiki-man model's UVs. Once the UVs were laid out to the best of my ability, I decided that I would generate normal maps using Autodesk's Mudbox. In Mudbox I created an extremely high poly version of the model and was able to sculpt in the details that I want seen on the simple version. High-poly model within Mudbox. The Low-poly model with the normal map applied. Wednesday, March 23, 2011. This is the firs...

Monday, May 9, 2011. Production Pipeline: Tiki-Totem Update. My re-imagined version of the Tiki-Totem Concept art. With the coloring aspect of the Totem, I ended up lightening a lot of areas while adding the stone texture from other parts of the Blocks game. Adding accents to the face and using colors from the Tiki-man helped greatly. The Tiki-Totem Textured and normaled. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Production Pipeline: Tiki-Totem Update. RECreation: February 2011
http://rossrec.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 7, 2011. Exit the King Exits. So after weeks of modeling, animating, headaches, and meetings my work on Exit the King has, for the most part, concluded. All that's left is to help project the images during the course of the show when I'm able, and by this time next week it'll all be done. Only time will tell if my efforts will bear fruit, but so long as the audiance of the show enjoys the projected images I helped make, I'll at least be glad with that. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Attempts at Things: Sculpting: Gestural Sculpting
http://franklinlogan.blogspot.com/2011/04/sculpting-gestural-sculpting.html
Times when I try to do stuff. Tuesday, April 12, 2011. I know this blog has been somewhat void of updates for a while now. I hit a small bump in life, but updates will be more constant from now on out. So to start, I decided to do a few experiments. These are in no particular order. One of my initial attempts at just positioning everything. Just concentrating on the lips, a big problem area for me. Another attempt, more lipwork, still poor proportions.
