Flood your Life: With Wisdom
http://floodyourlife.blogspot.com/2014/10/with-wisdom.html
Wednesday, October 15, 2014. This is my friend. I wanted to write about her because we are, perhaps to outsiders, unlikely friends. She is old enough to be my mother, but I often find that I want to spend time with her. I am drawn to her wisdom. And helpful spirit. Did you know that she has a crazy work ethic, and can clean up a dilapidated yard faster than you can go to the grocery store. She works miracles with mulch and bushes, and has helped many people in our church get their yards in order. Your ow...

Flood your Life: October 2014
http://floodyourlife.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2014. This is my final post of the 31 day writing challenge! I will be honest with you, I am glad it is over. Not because I didn't enjoy writing about all my friends. But because it is a lot of pressure to write something every day. I am a procrastinator. I was up late most nights finishing at the last minute. I am so tired. I feel for all you college students out there who have to write papers every day. It is work. Must show himself friendly. And there is a friend. Than the ones I w...

Parkside Musings: Not a Cheesy Card
http://parksideplace.blogspot.com/2015/01/not-cheesy-card.html
Saturday, January 10, 2015. Not a Cheesy Card. I have gotten some pretty terrific gifts for my birthday this year (including the much-needed laptop I'm writing on right now! But my favorite present by far has been this poem my husband presented to me last night. It is as much a tribute to Williamsburg and our alma mater as it is to me. We've long called this town "the center of the universe"—and, for us, in some ways, it is. I am so grateful for such a dear companion to walk through this life together!

Flood your Life: With Steadiness
http://floodyourlife.blogspot.com/2014/10/with-steadiness.html
Friday, October 24, 2014. This is my friend. She lives a few streets away from me, and we have gone to the same church for many years. She has a son, a married daughter, a son-in-law, a grandchild, and a faithful husband who is serving in the United States Navy. Amanda, Evan, and Christian. We worked together last year as babysitters for a Mom's Day Out group at our church, and this year we are working together in a Good News Club at a local elementary school. Gina is a one in a million friend. That do t...

Flood your Life: With Counseling
http://floodyourlife.blogspot.com/2014/10/with-counseling.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2014. This is my friend. Here we are, together as always. We have been friends. For 24 years. I can't believe it has been that long. Seems like only yesterday, we were helping each other babysit while we ran to the store. Teresa has three boys and a loving husband who happens to be the Pastor of our church. Who was always a few steps ahead of me in child rearing and life. Luke and Jeremy all grown up. Still little boys to us. How do you make pizza dough? How do you get rid of lice?

Flood your Life: With Diligence
http://floodyourlife.blogspot.com/2014/10/with-diligence.html
Thursday, October 16, 2014. This is my friend Lynnette. I could write pages and pages of all the things we have done together. We met when we were very young wives and have known each other for about 23 years. Lynnette has 4 children all of whom I love like my own. I was present at each of their births, and we raised our babies together. We grew up alongside the kids, and I can't think of our friendship. Lynnette and her wonderful husband Marty. Twins are her favorite. Lynnette. Our lives are busy no...

Flood your Life: With Comfort
http://floodyourlife.blogspot.com/2014/10/with-comfort.html
Sunday, October 19, 2014. This is my comfort. You know that favorite food that you always come back to after a hard day or week? Well Brandi is like that for me. She is my chips and salsa of friends,. Or if you live in the south, my mac and cheese. I know I can always come back to her and be cheered up, prayed for, shopped with, and laughed at. I have seen this face many times throughout the years. Usually when she saw my outfit for the day. :). We have been friends. Her dad with her daughter Megan.

Parkside Musings: On a Bicycle Built for Two
http://parksideplace.blogspot.com/2015/06/on-bicycle-built-for-two.html
Thursday, June 4, 2015. On a Bicycle Built for Two. These two sweet cousins get together once a year, during our annual beach week family reunion getaway on the NC shore. They've been almost inseparable for the entire week, every summer that I can remember- and this year they even got to go biking on the same bike. Entry 6a, June -. The 12 Months of 2015 Blog Challenge. The title is from the classic children's song "Daisy, Daisy" (aka "A Bicycle Built for Two"). Labels: 12 Months of 2015 Blog Challenge.
