A Faith In The Crowd: July 2014
http://afaithinthecrowd.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
A Faith In The Crowd. Wednesday, 9 July 2014. Are you a begrudging hero or have you got a servant heart? I have recently been thinking about this as I have come across quite a few begrudging hero's. A begrudging hero is someone who does something for someone when they don't actually want too. They run to someone's rescue and then moan and gossip about it. They want the glory of being a hero, a life saver and that is why they do the task to start with. For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much b...

A Faith In The Crowd: February 2015
http://afaithinthecrowd.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
A Faith In The Crowd. Friday, 27 February 2015. Life in the USA (for a week). Last night I was invited to go bowling with my husbands work colleagues. When we got there, my husband walked over to a server to confirm our booking then started walking to the alley completely forgetting that I was still standing in the entrance. I watched in slow motion, waiting for him to turn around and tell me to come. But he didn't. He came over and said he thought I would just follow. I told him - you just left me.

A Faith In The Crowd: January 2014
http://afaithinthecrowd.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
A Faith In The Crowd. Friday, 10 January 2014. The post before - the post! So it’s my birthday on Sunday. It’s a big one. For 4 decades I will have lived. But this is the post before the post so you will have to wait. Its been an interesting morning. It always is when you have small children. I was rushing out the house trying to close the boys lunch box when my knee felt all wet. My husband hadn’t closed the boys drink properly. Juicy jeans not a great start. A Faith In The Crowd. A Faith In The Crowd.

A Faith In The Crowd: Unrecognized Addictions
http://afaithinthecrowd.blogspot.com/2015/04/unrecoinised-addictions.html
A Faith In The Crowd. Friday, 24 April 2015. It's a revelation sort of day,. You know when God prompts you on something you haven't given up and keeps going until your mind is swimming in thoughts of that particular thing. It's a something that I've done for as long as I can remember but didn't think much of it. A something that became part of my normal daily routine. In fact a ritual. A ritual that wasn't healthy in 2 ways. 1- not good for me. 2- the only healthy ritual is a God habit. Normal way of life.

A Faith In The Crowd: A letter to my Christian Husband!
http://afaithinthecrowd.blogspot.com/2015/02/a-letter-to-my-christian-husband.html
A Faith In The Crowd. Friday, 6 February 2015. A letter to my Christian Husband! I wrote this blog post right at the beginning of the year. I didn't know if I would post it. I am not even going to read it back. If its how I felt i'm sure others have felt this way too. I'm a married Christian woman! That's quite a statement already. Ok so being a married christian woman sounds easy right? It should be easy right? I have 2 beautiful kids. And a husband. Or the daily household stuff. I thought - great!

A Faith In The Crowd: March 2015
http://afaithinthecrowd.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
A Faith In The Crowd. Monday, 30 March 2015. Let your writings be heard! Assignment writing interests me. It interests me how some people can be so mechanical about it. Almost robot like. Punching out the words, making meaningless unfeeling statements that mount to 1000 words. Me, well, when I write. I write as me. I like to think that the person reading it can hear me talking. Do you ever get that when reading an autobiography by someone you have heard talk/act? Jesus's love letters to me.

Jess in South Africa: November 2014
http://jessinsafrica.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Jess in South Africa. Friday, November 28, 2014. Some of my avid readers might remember my well after the fact blog about the Hands USA Family Reunion. Last year. It was only 11 weeks after the fact. This year is slightly better at seven weeks! George's US tour schedule is always jam packed, but this year was especially exciting! Last year we focused on getting all the advocates together: from people who had been to Africa as long as 6 years ago to me (at the time) only six months ago! We arrived late Fr...

Jess in South Africa: Home
http://jessinsafrica.blogspot.com/2015/05/home.html
Jess in South Africa. Monday, May 18, 2015. I made it home yesterday by lunchtime. I was able to spend the afternoon unpacking and taking it easy. The key to traveling long distance is, for me, a head game. On my way to Africa I can't sleep eight hours on a plane, so I watch the flight-map. I normally take a short nap while we are waiting for dinner to be served, then another afternoon nap after dinner (because carb-comas, am I right? Friends don't let friends take naps! I would say I don't do a lot when...

Jess in South Africa: July 2015
http://jessinsafrica.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Jess in South Africa. Thursday, July 30, 2015. Well, we just had our final team meeting over Skype. We fly on Saturday! God has been SO KIND. As this trip drew near, I felt very uncertain about getting all of my work done, for my job and for Hands US, before I left. As of today, I've done the majority of what I needed to do - and the more time consuming jobs at that! So I just have to tidy a few things up during the next two days of work and I'll be good to go! And finishing packing. That too. Zambia wil...
