Preparing to swim the channel . Wednesday, 11 May 2016. The six hour qualification swim. Moth bran: it bombed in the focus groups. It’s now that my fiendishly well-conceived plan unravels. One oat in the bowl looks slightly discoloured and larger than the others. A closer inspection reveals the oat's wings and antennae. It’s a moth. Splendid. Swimming along, singing a song . . . A classic of the ages. Those are the lyrics. Seriously. Survivor (classic). Something Good. And last but no means least: Blue.
