Capturing life's momentary events. Sketch Whatevers in Front of You. Fake Friends and Fallacious Facts. A Trip to Civilization. Published by Dave Terry on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 12/23/2012 03:39:00 AM. Love to go up to the lake and enjoy the sunshine. Even though it's winter here, the warm sun makes it feel like springtime. People are out everywhere walking, talking, playing, sketching, and . . . taking pictures. The picture you see here is simply a water mirror turned upside down. 365 in your inbox.

Capturing life's momentary events. Star Painting on the Beach. Chinese New Year 2013. Published by Dave Terry on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 2/10/2013 01:24:00 AM. He west tracks time using the Gregorian calendar while the East (China specifically) tracks time using a lunar calendar. The West celebrated the turn of the year on January 1st but the East celebrates on February 10th. So 2013 arrived in the West earlier than the East. Strange but true. Capturing life's momentary events. Chinese New Year 2013. Star Painting on the Beach. Published by Dave Terry on Sunday, March 03, 2013 at 3/03/2013 08:35:00 PM. Oing way back, Eric and I got a chance to drive a D10 "dozer" for an hour. It's very cool to feel the power of these monsters. Contrary to what you might think, these mammoths haul, doing 50mph or more. You control them like a tank, with hand levers on the right and left. Responses to “The D10 "dozer"”. Links to this post. LISTENING TO THE RIVER: Iguana love
http://mekeelmcbride.blogspot.com/2011/04/iguana-love.html
LISTENING TO THE RIVER. Monday, April 4, 2011. I've just been out in the cold April rain, running errands. Went to the pet store and one of the young women who works there had a yellow blanket over her blouse, and on the blanket, she was cradling Annie the Iguana (green and yellow). She had Annie's face up against her cheek and then down trailed the long iguana body including a very lengthy tail (that reached beyond the young woman's knees! Iguana-love, the rain really didn't seem to matter. A janela de ...

Nothing to do with the moon. A place to empty out my mind. Wednesday, 7 August 2013. Planes, trains and automobiles. Well, just planes actually. I love making Airfix models, so you can imagine how excited I was to find some cotton fabric with an aeroplane print on it. At the time I bought it, I hadn't started making clothes, so just bought enough for patchwork or something small I could whip up like a pencil case. So, back to the aeroplane fabric. I can always wear it when making my next Airfix model.
Nothing to do with the moon: Agar Man
http://haveyoufeltit.blogspot.com/2013/08/agar-man.html
Nothing to do with the moon. A place to empty out my mind. Saturday, 3 August 2013. I've always enjoyed playing with anagrams. Whilst trying to come up with a name for my Etsy shop, thought I'd have a go with seeing what I could come up with by creating anagrams from certain words. My favourite was from the word nostalgia. Of which I got again lost. Image taken from a 1950's scrapbook I found at a car boot sale. Who did they belong to? I will continue this blog post later. HAVE YOU FELT IT? Http:/ www...

Nothing to do with the moon. A place to empty out my mind. Sunday, 18 August 2013. Dog walks and blackberry picking. Whilst out on our walk today, I found the bush where I collect my annual blackberry supply from, ladened with fruit. Although I only had my trusty little plastic bags (doggy poo bags - clean may I add), I made quite a little collection. So home I trotted, to make some jam. I picked some apples from one of the trees in the garden, to add for extra pectin (setting agent). HAVE YOU FELT IT?

Nothing to do with the moon. A place to empty out my mind. Friday, 18 May 2012. HAVE YOU FELT IT? Stories behind the objects. Snails in linen bags collected from the walls of St Leonard's chapel in Brittany. Worn around the neck as a cure for fever, they were buried at the foot of the walls of the chapel as soon as the fever had passed. It was believed that if the wearer failed to perform this ceremony, their fever would return. Carved and decorated sheep bone, to protect against scorpions. Oxford, Unite...
