Every now and again comes a day which is pure bliss - Travelogue of a 56 Rambler
http://danceswithcats1.livejournal.com/66103.html
Every now and again comes a day which is pure bliss. Yeah, it was in pristine condition, but my Dad bought a new 1966 Coronet 500, loaded for $3600. I't been a long time since I felt this warm and fuzzy. January 21st, 2007 11:52 am (UTC). Barrett Jackson, right? We watch those auctions each year. This year I recorded them so we could fast-forward through the yacking. And I'm so glad you're enjoying some adult company. Makes my heart sing to hear! January 21st, 2007 03:14 pm (UTC). Who's creepy and scary?

That made me feel good all over! - Complete and Utter Drivel
http://big-girl.livejournal.com/1552104.html
That made me feel good all over! Complete and Utter Drivel. That made me feel good all over! I have no mouth. That made me feel good all over! Tried to make money selling jewelry. Found that I can make a few dollars but not enough. I make just enough to pay for the hobby plus maybe my monthly beer bill. I did an intense round of resume sending and on-line application filling immediately after being fired but laid off of that when I decided to see if I could sell jewelry. During my cleaning binge I found ...

Loki relaxing with the nice weather! March 20th, 2010. 2010-03-21 03:12 am (UTC). That is an extremely beautiful dog. I have a beautiful cat, as you can see. Loki relaxing with the nice weather! 2010-03-21 03:37 am (UTC). And your cat is beautiful - I see! I think I'm pretty impressed at how well the picture of Loki came out using my phone camera. It really did him justice. 2010-03-23 04:13 am (UTC). Loki is so adorable! Powered by LiveJournal.com.

Maple Syrup Wine: homebrewing
http://homebrewing.livejournal.com/620958.html
So I just thought I would share my latest experiment. So me and some friends were sitting in a pub and discussing my latest country wine making adventures (there have been lots of adventures in this direction recently) and I said "You know I quite fancy making a mead only using maple syrup". I did, after starting it, do a search for maple syrup wine and found this site http:/ brewery.org/cm3/recs/10 25.html. So I am quite hopeful! Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. Beer snob?: homebrewing
http://homebrewing.livejournal.com/619313.html
Wicked big and itchy (. Wicked big and itchy. The recent discussion about personal "best" beers raises another interesting topic; that of being a so-called "beer snob". To an extent I can understand that term being used in a derogatory way, and there are definitely some "beer douchebags" out there, who are following trends, or "discovering" a micro and deciding it's the only beer they'll drink, while they deride the personal tastes of others. My two cents, anyway. Post a new comment. Post a new comment.

Delirium Dethroned: homebrewing
http://homebrewing.livejournal.com/619245.html
I’m guilty of too often declaring something as ‘the best’. As in, ‘that was the best movie ever.’. Or this past October, ‘the best World Series I’ve ever watched.’. And about a year ago at the Union Jack Pub, I emphatically declared Delirium Tremens. To be the best beer I’d ever had. That’s some bold advertising. The interim “best beer ever” now hails from North College Avenue in Indianapolis, where I recently sipped a $26 glass of Brasserie DuPont Foret Organically Produced Saison. Post a new comment.

Mead and hedgerow wines: homebrewing
http://homebrewing.livejournal.com/617110.html
Mead and hedgerow wines. New booze maker here. I have made v. simple things like sloe gin and limoncello before, but I have recently entered the world of fermentation with elderflower champagne. It's just amazing, if rather volatile. I am looking to make mead as my next project, and it need to be ready for an event in early September. I know that's not exactly ideal but I reckon I can make something palatable by then! Does anyone have any recipes/tips? IDK if anyone has tried that. Post a new comment.

Yeast question from a newb: homebrewing
http://homebrewing.livejournal.com/620008.html
Yeast question from a newb. My husband and I just got into this hobby a couple weeks ago. we found ourselves at the local brewery supply shop and purchased a kit and a recipe box. Two days later we went back for a second 6gal glass carboy and another recipe box. This weekend we bottled our Guinness clone and the Newcastle clone; nothing has exploded yet, thank goodness. Should we make a yeast slurry? What are the advantages/disadvantages? Post a new comment. We will log you in after post.

Inventions, my Dentist, his daughter, and life - Travelogue of a 56 Rambler
http://danceswithcats1.livejournal.com/68983.html
Inventions, my Dentist, his daughter, and life. So, my buddy wants a means by which she can move about in the house up until around 10PM, after which attempted exits for potentially dangerous liasons are interdicted by way of alerting him. You see, she's been waiting until he falls asleep before heading out to howl at the moon. That aside, I continue to enjoy life one day at a time, and am thankful for the moments which bring joy. And it's Wednesday-I can hear the sweet singing of Saturday, already.
