Back to New Zealand for a bit. Anyway. Once it got a bit closer to the date I wanted to fly, all the soft bookings freed up, and I managed to jump on a flight back to NZ in time to catch Mum's wedding. A quick stopover in Hong Kong (9 hours) let me scoot out and do a little window shopping in Kowloon. I bought bugger all, but it was kind of fun to shop around. (for the first couple of hours at least). I also saw my nieces. Man, kids grow up quick don't they? Time since we've had everybody in one place...

Really was a changing year for me. Was in the Philippines at the start of the year for a friend's wedding in Cebu on Mactan Island. I went to see where Magellan was killed by Lapu Lapu. Spent New Year's there (which is insane and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone) and even helped judge a miss-Gay Mabitac competition. Time to get rid of crap. Actually, I do know. I'm a pack-rat). So What now for Dave? So, after ending things with Liezl, I was a little disappointed that I wasnt going to spend more time in New Zealand. Negotiating with her, I managed to squeeze a month on my own back home no worries, but now that Im single, I could have stayed a couple months at least! I did love the Cable Bay place. And then it's 2007. Yet another boarding trip. Bloody heck, another year. Must be time for the annual lads ski trip to France. This time we went to La Plagne.
