First off, I ain’t a freshie anymore, which means I hold myself to a higher standard and I assume everyone else on my team does as well. Second, I have all these “responsibilities” and “commitments” now that I’ve signed on to be our league’s Events Chair and Promotions Co-Chair. Most of the goals above are to help me. I went to Richmond, VA this past weekend with two team mates to watch the WFTDA Division I Playoffs! Holy Ravioli that was an intense weekend of roller derby! A truck fell off a jammer’s skate mid jam (and she was able to call it off)! An airplane flew down the track! There was backwards skate twerking from a blocker after knocking a jammer out! There was a lot of crack!
