http://mattkuehl.blogspot.com/2012/01/take-walk-on-wide-side.html
Saturday, January 28, 2012. Take A Walk on the Wide Side. Jason Molina gets comfortable on Lucky Nuts Right 5.9. I couldn't tell you exactly the first time I attempted to crack climb, probably because it was so embarrassing I attempted to erase it from my mind permanently. I can only tell you that I am not alone in being totally enthralled with crack climbing, even after my first attempts failed me miserably. But what is it that makes people love crack climbing? On my attempt of Chrysler Crack. A little ...

http://mattkuehl.blogspot.com/2012/08/work-in-progress-trench-warfare-512d.html
Friday, August 10, 2012. Work In Progress: Trench Warfare 5.12d. Matt Kuehl riding the wide pony on Trench Warfare. Trench Warfare has to go down as one of the most awesome and difficult tradition climbs I have ever attempted. This 50' foot straight horizontal roof crack leaves a lot for your imagination! Looking out and up at Trench Warfare. it's horizontal. Mark Gaguire working out the first section. I refined my technique until this section felt smooth and do-able then eagerly approached the wide pod.

http://mattkuehl.blogspot.com/2014/03/pinnacle-cave-mt-potosi-nv.html
Friday, March 14, 2014. Pinnacle Cave, Mt. Potosi, NV. Recently I was informed of a (relatively) new discovery in Thailand. This natural wonder was found only four years ago, and is now regarded as the largest cave currently surveyed and explored on our planet earth! Being a big fan of the great unknown, spontaneous discovery, and continuous adventure, I was pretty interested to hear more about this wonder. After doing some reading I found out that Sơn Đoòng. A no-flash look at the descent. A rowdy bunch...

Matt Kuehl Blogs: Red Rock and the Spirit of Adventure
http://mattkuehl.blogspot.com/2015/01/red-rock-and-spirt-of-adventure.html
Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Red Rock and the Spirit of Adventure. I recently had an opportunity to do a write-up on Red Rock climbing for Travel Nevada. It's a fun overview on the climbing variety here just outside of Las Vegas. It has some history but focuses a lot on the spirit of adventure and how its evolved within climbing. But I think the best part is just getting the official title of "Adventurer". Take a read and I hope you enjoy. : ). Labels: Red Rock Canyon. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Friday, April 26, 2013. Everyday Adventure: Photo Post. My van broke down in Gunnison Utah on the way home from Salt Lake City. I attempted to aid solo the Rainbow Wall via bicycle in a two day effort. Home Sweet Home in the canyons. Discovered some cool street art while biking. Offwidthing hungover and almost barfed but didn't. Woohoo! Will Stanhope came by and freesoloed Yin and Yang. A hummingbird flew inside the house to say Hello. Adam and I went to Joshua Tree and did some wide bouldering. May 18, ...

Matt Kuehl Blogs: Another Year of Adventure
http://mattkuehl.blogspot.com/2015/01/another-year-of-adventure.html
Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Another Year of Adventure. Andy Reger and I on the top of Half Dome in Yosemite Valley. To start the summer off Andy Reger and I went to Yosemite National Park in California. This mecca for climbing should be visited by all, climbers or not. The history is rich in many realms, but to many is considered the birth place of modern climbing. To some it up the place is just radical. Recently the film Valley Uprising. Yosemite Valley, California. There is so much to say, but it's h...
