http://brian-logsblog.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Talk From The Timber. Diary of a Scottish woodcrafter. Lover of nature and wild places! Saturday, 24 January 2015. Horse From A Horse. Got into carving this today. A Horse head kuksa cup. Out of some Horse Chestnut. It works very easily. And has some nice colour variations through the grain. It gave me the little kick I needed to get back in the workshop. b. Sunday, 18 January 2015. Bought this little block plane today made in the USA. No maker as such a few numbers on it. Sunday, 11 January 2015.

http://brian-logsblog.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Talk From The Timber. Diary of a Scottish woodcrafter. Lover of nature and wild places! Saturday, 30 May 2015. I started this leather sheath on the last post. My stitching gadget arrived this week. So after an evening during the past. Week and an hour this afternoon. And the glue my mentor Zelva mentioned. I ended up with this which I pretty happy with for a first attempt. Now I quiz my mentor once more! What can I use to dye this brown. Using something natural? Thanks in advance. ; b. Here it is so far.

Alastair Dargue: November 2012
http://alastairdargue.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Friday, 16 November 2012. No, I haven't had the paint out recently! These are natural colours created by time. This bent branch spoon is damson from a branch I found which had been cut off last year. The wood was fairly dry and hard as hell to work. The pink is a layer just under the bark so I left it on to show the natural curve of the bowl rim. This next one is in Hawthorn which is carved green and left for the sap to stain the surface to a lovely golden brown. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). MYSTERY OF TH...

http://brian-logsblog.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Talk From The Timber. Diary of a Scottish woodcrafter. Lover of nature and wild places! Sunday, 28 September 2014. A little Elm table top with some ash legs. Was started this weekend the legs have nice little curve to them which will throw them out a bit. Also notice the shiny walls in the picture, as I have insulated for the cooler weather arriving. And what about this nice big slab of Elm, this will be a garden bench in time for next summer. b. Monday, 22 September 2014. Sunday, 14 September 2014.

Alastair Dargue: December 2012
http://alastairdargue.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, 24 December 2012. Season's greetings from soggy Shropshire! Had a brief window of sunshine yesterday so went to see how the woodland and wetland were doing. Well that's a couple of meters deeper than usual! There is some interesting growth in the woodland on dead wood. Sunshine highlighted the interesting colours and detail. Back to very soggy today. Saturday, 1 December 2012. Amazingly, the underside still shows the original red and green of the seagrass. Christmas Show and Sale.
