Thursday, January 7, 2010. Warm and comfy in the ICU. See, a labor day and didn't even mess up my hair. Yippee. 7 January, 2009. A kiss for a job well done. This is the cold cruel world. Sunday, September 13, 2009. We have carefully looked for and accidentily happened upon many covered bridges through Pennsylvania. Of course, with the load we had on the back of the truck, we were not able to cross any of them unless it was on foot. The tiny white spot in the background locates the sacred ground where the...

David & Cori's Brag Blog
Wednesday, March 07, 2012. We have some news to share and I think it would be easy to just post it all here. Back in September we learned that my sister's husband, Luke, was dealing with declining Kidney function and his long term prognosis would require a transplant. David immediately offered to be tested. In October we learned he was a match, but Luke’s sister was a better match so they were moving forward with her testing. I am SO greatful for my amazing friends who have stepped up to help out. Jo...

Thursday, June 25, 2015. Caspers Wilderness Park San Juan Capistrano. What a beautiful place to spend the weekend exploring. The big attraction were rocks, rocks and more rocks. These kids spent hours collecting them, lining them up, hauling them up and down from the ravine. They were pretty disappointed when I told them they were actually not taking all 52 of them home with us. Davey made a tree swing for the kids from one of the trees by our site, which was also a big part of the weekend. One of the mo...

Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Melodie is 7 months! Time has flown by and in so many ways I wish I could freeze time and have her stay this big forever. This has been a very exciting month with some major developmental milestones. She is crawling backwards! This has David and I super excited - she is going to be crawling forward before we know it! Along with crawling, she can also sit herself up and go back down onto her tummy again. So she can giggle and do it again. What a stinker. And she is so excited...

While I had a great experience at the Mater Mother's Hospital, I was dying to be home in my own bed (and honestly I didn't think I could go another night alone without David). On the second day, with everything going great with Oliver, we were discharged that afternoon and made it home! Here are some photos from his first few days. Just 2 days old, home from the hospital, having some skin-to-skin time with Dad. First bath at home and he loved it. His first bath at the hospital.not so much. So the midwife...

Tuesday, August 28. Back to School Mantel}. I have been trying to figure out how to change my summer mantel into a fall mantel. The only problem is, I love my summer mantel and its not quite time for a fall mantel. So, I though the best way to make a smooth transition from a summer mantel to a fall mantel, would be to make a "Back to School" mantel! I took the "flag" down and put the window back up. For the most part, its the same set up. Of course, I made a banner. I used scrapbook paper. I made a dress!
