In a report that came out from Re/Max, the average home value in 16 major Canadian cities doubled between 2000 and 2010. The average home price in 2000 in these markets was $163,951 in 2000, and in 2010 was $339,030. The report attributes this price increase to immigration and an explosion of renovations and home improvements over the past decade. November 2, 2011.
