Start of the Katwalk in the fog. The Katwalk in the fog. Can see a snow patch in the distance. Just had to stand on the broken Egg rock. Looking for the Geocache. Gary found a Geocache just past the Katwalk. Pretty little "wet" wildflowers. Big ones and little ones. 12 miles round trip and 2500 elevation gain.

Once inside your turned to the right to our bedroom. My matress for my sleeping bag. View from my sleeping bag to the opening and fresh air. Stephen made a really big cave. Here he is finishing the shelf for his sleeping bag. We had a nice dinning hall and seat built into the snow. Ean made us some fresh apple crisp. Boys in the parking lot.

Once at the lake it is time to relax and have a bit to eat. There was still snow at the waters edge. Steve "The Photographer" was busy! Stephen had just finished reading the Book of Mormon. Stephen stopped to pray and got his answer. Another interesting log bridge to cross. We made it and had a good time.

Up the Denny Creek Trail at 7 AM we stopped at Keekwulee Falls. Just a nice clearing in the shade before the next series of switchbacks. Beautiful Alpine lake looked inviting to swim, but no swimsuit! Just above the first lake is Upper Melakwa lake. Just a little snow field to cross before relaxing for lunch. Steve the "Photographer" was taking pictures of a rescue.
