We decided to start a new project this week. We thought we would get even more use out of our front terrace both in winter and in summer if we glazed it. So on Tuesday we spent some time going around the many and various glazing firms on the industrial estates to get prices and judge quality. Posted by David and Sue.

We have returned from our trip to Istanbul, where we spent an interesting 5 days. We flew up from our "local" airport, Izmir, which is 2 hours from us. David's Turkish lessons began on the 10th of this month. They occur twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday evenings for 2 hours each evening. They will hopefully give a basic grounding in the language, enough to build upon with any luck! As this month draws to a close, the temperature has finally dropped . is this the long awaited winter?
