David Booker was born in Melbourne in 1954. He studied in Sydney and Hobarth, Tasmania. Since 1972 he has created many large-scale sculptures, hand-carved wood sculptures and figures in Sydney’s sandstone. Boxes, cartons and engine motor spare parts that have lost their function and value are depicted simply in their seen perspective. On exhibition in Mirandola, integrated in the architectural setting of Pico Castle's courtyard are four sculptures in marble by David Booker: Two figures without title. Naciketas. Is a sculptural form of two figures in the same block. Bodies are intersected. Volume and hollow part circumscribe the space. The figures are in a forward position, with little possibility to move. Did you like Sunwing? Thursday, March 11, 2010. Sunwing is a great book! I'm not much of a reader, but I loved this book. I've read other books by Kenneth Oppel, but none as good as this one! I really recomend this book, and other books by Kenneth Oppel. It's about a small bat named Shade, and his companian, Marina, trying to find Shade's father. They run into many problems and have a great adventure. I can't tell you any more, but you really should read it. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
