Pips and Anna painted the roof beams with anti termites chemicals. The wood was made from coconut tree trunks. We added more scaffolding to install the roof beams. This part is done mostly by the Sri Lankan contract builders. We formed a line and gave them the tiles. They placed them on the roof beams. No nails were needed. The roof is taking shape. Mackwoods is one of the largest tea plantations in Sri Lanka. I did not see the Lipton tea plantation, even though I kept a look out for it. Perhaps it has been sold or something. 97 Kiwis went to Sri Lanka to build 24 houses over 5 days. Friday, August 3, 2012. Christine and I stayed on for a 5-day tour of Sri Lanka. We saw lots of elephants crossing a stream. She likes my music! We will climb the rock, first thing tomorrow morning at 7.30 am. Better nudes than Playboy! The final climb to the top. I played my flute on the top of the Rock to chase away all the taniwha. Breakfast after the climb. The second largest city of Sri Lanka is famous for having the relic, a tooth of Buddha.

Monday, December 29, 2008. A Malaysian fighting kite is highly manouverable. It has no tail and can be moved sideways or up and down at will. The string used for flying it, has been specially treated. It is an elaborate process using a secret concoction of glue and powdered glass on a line (No: 40 or 60 Anchor).
